Hosting
Free hosting is available for any TFL/AFL/PFL approved fanlist, fan collective, personal blog or small shrine. Please note that you fan site does NOT have to be Bleach related. You are welcome to apply for hosting for any fandom. At the moment there are 9 (nine) open hosting spots.
What You Get
- Subdomain (you.senbonzakura.org <i>and</i> senbonzakura.org/you) and FTP account.
- 5-20 MB of disk space, depending on site (more my be provided if necessary).
- PHP/CGI support
- MySQL database (if needed).
- E-mail account (you@senbonzakura.org) forwarded to e-mail inbox of your choice.
- Multiple script choices (including Enthusiast for fanlistings) that can be installed for you.
- Friendly, caring webmistress who is knowledgeable and easily accessible!
What You DON’T Get
x A place to dump or store files. Hotlinking is disabled throught the site.
x The ability to host other people’s sites. You and only you in your account, please.
x The ability to ignore the webmistress. Shalott is very active online and takes great interest in her sites. Be aware that you will expect to communicate on a regular basis.
Domain Hosting
I am also willing to host domains on a very selected, very limited basis. I only host established domains that are in urgent need of a web host. If you feel that you fall under that criteria, please submit the form below with the option “domain” chosen in the drop-down box.
Shalott Says:
I will not host any discriminatory, illegal or hard porn sites. Some yaoi or yuri is acceptible. I will not host any large media files (any music, video or large images) except with prior approval. If I find these things in your account, it may be deleted without warning. I expect you to have a deecent grasp of HTML when applying, and you need to know how to use FTP. I necessary, I can recommend some good, cheap FTP programs. I also do not back up hosted sites, so please keep backups on your computer. Regular updates are a must, as well as advance notice if you will be unable to update in a while. If your site is not updated in two months with out any communication on your part, your account will be deleted. Although I prefer you have a site already online, it is not required. However if I feel you have mislead me regarding your HTML and graphics skills, your account may be deleted.
To submit your interest in free hosting, please fill out the form completely. I will respond to you within the week to get your desired username and password, as well as desired subdomain (if different). You have the option of requesting to be hosted, or to simply recieve more information.
IMPORTANT: In the comment box please describe the type of site you wish hosted. A url is requested for example of your knowledge of web design. If you do not have a current website, in the comment box, please write “none”.
